‘Slim’ Duncan (1-8-13)

COMMERCE - Eugene Walter “Slim” Duncan, 80, died Tuesday, January 8, 2013, at his residence.

He was born in Ila, the son of the late Pascal B. and Wilda Chandler Duncan. He was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church and was retired from the Navy Supply Corp School.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Mathis Duncan, Commerce; daughter, Cristy Owensby, Carlton; son, Keith Duncan, Savannah; brothers, Arthur Duncan, Commerce, and Dwayne Duncan, Nicholson; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, January 10, at the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with the Rev. Cecil D. Gibby officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, January 9, from 6 to 8 p.m.
