Warren Hufford Sr. (1-2-13)

JEFFERSON – Warren Hufford Sr., 81, died Wednesday, January 2, 2013, at his residence.

He was born July 8, 1931, in Flint, Mich., the son of the late Mervon Earl Hufford. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked for A.C. Spark Plug for 43 years, retiring in January 1999. Mr. Hufford was preceded in death by a grandson, Caleb Guy Chance Hufford; and granddaughter, Veronica Lynn Elliott.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Beverly, Jefferson; children, Mellonie and Thomas Hookey, Flint, Mich., Karen and Don Roney, Columbiaville, Mich., Bryan Hufford and finance, Janie Hoffman, Bowling Green, Ky., Tammy Midcalf, Davison, Donna Rachwal, Jefferson, and Warren Hufford Jr. and Wendy Hufford, Jefferson; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 9, at 1 p.m., at the Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Rd., Grand Blanc, Mich., with Pastor Brian Oswald officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at the funeral home.
