CANON – Kenneth Wade Bennett Sr., 60, passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2013, at his residence.
He was born in Franklin County on September 16, 1952, the son of the late B.L. and Claudine “Ma” Hill Bennett. He worked for the City of Lavonia in the water treatment department, was a volunteer fireman with the City of Canon, and was a member of the Canon United Methodist Church. Mr. Bennett was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah Grace Maxwell Bennett; and a brother, Lamar Bennett.
Survivors include children, Kenneth Wade Bennett Jr., Canon, and LeAnna Grace Bennett Carlyle, Hull; four grandchildren; and a brother, Virgil S. Bennett, Canon.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 5, at 2 p.m., from the chapel of Pruitt Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Nestor officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Royston. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, January 4. The family is at home.
