Marion Joe “Doc” Holliday, 87, of Statham, died Friday, September 26, 2008.
Born in Barrow County, he was the son of the late D.A. and Berder “Birdie” Casper Holliday. He was a member of Chapel Christian Church and was retired as the owner and operator of Holliday T.V. Sales and Service. Mr. Holliday was preceded in death by his wife, Jobie Faye Edwards Holliday.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby and Pat Holliday, Statham, and Randy and Carolyn Holliday, Watkinsville; grandchildren, B.J. Holliday, Russell Holliday, Chris Holliday and Greg Ashley; great-grandchildren, Katie Holliday, Jonathon Holliday, Connor Holliday and Ryan Holliday; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend later in life, Virginia Moulder.
Funeral services were held Monday, September 29, at Smith Memory Chapel with the Revs. B.J. Holliday and Rudy Camp officiating. Burial was in Barrow Memorial Gardens.
