Edwin Coffey (12-26-12)

HOSCHTON - Edwin Kenneth Coffey, 57, passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2012, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

He was born August 13, 1955, in Buford, the son of Lillian Coffey of Hoschton and the late James W. Coffey. He was a member of the Chattahoochee Baptist Church. Mr. Coffey was preceded in death by brothers, Gerald Coffey and Raymond Coffey.

Survivors in addition to his mother include his wife, Laurie Coffey, Hoschton; sons, Casey Coffey and Tom Black, both of Flowery Branch; daughters, Shawna Szabo, Flowery Branch, and Jasmine Burton, Statham; brothers, David Coffey, Flowery Branch, Clarence Coffey, Hoschton, Keith Coffey, Buford, Phillip Coffey, Flowery Branch, and Roy Coffey, Flowery Branch; sisters, Evelyn Reed, Braselton, Sandra Vickers, Flowery Branch, and Sabrina Palmer, Clarkesville; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Saturday, December 29, from the chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home with interment following at Memorial Park South Cemetery. The Rev. Cory Sexton will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, December 28, at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.
