Willie Rowena Irvin, 84, of Jefferson, died Sunday, September 28, 2008.
She was born on May 15, 1924, the daughter of the late John and Nora Dorsey. She had lived in the Jefferson area for most of her life, and was a member of Faith Baptist Church. Mrs. Irvin was preceded in death by her husband, Will Elisha “June” Irvin Jr.; a son, James Roland Irvin; and great-granddaughter, Danielle Leshae Crowe.
Survivors include a daughter, Peggy Littlefield, Rossville; sisters, Maggie Ilene Vinson, Warner Robins, and Floy Lee, Cleveland; grandchildren, June Martin, Kevin Crowe, Larry Keith Littlefield, Stacey Boyd and Brandy Irvin; five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Friday, October 3, in the Talmo Baptist Church cemetery in Talmo, Ga. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
Wilson Funeral Homes, Fort Oglethorpe, Ga., is in charge of arrangements.
