DANIELSVILLE - Sara Helen Mitchell Chandler, 79, passed away Sunday, December 23, 2012, at the St. Mary's Hospice House in Bogart.
She was born in Rockdale County, on June 18, 1933, the daughter of the late Clyde and Dasie Ricks Mitchell. She was a seamstress having worked for Oxford Manufacturing and was a member of the Canaan Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Dean A. Chandler, Danielsville; children, Clyde Chandler, Danielsville, and Connie Carter, Hartwell; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Don Mitchell, Conyers, and Gene Mitchell, Covington; sisters, Ellen Bruce, Lawrenceville, Geneva Turner, Covington, and Josephine Watson, Conyers.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, December 26, at the Canaan Baptist Church with the Rev. David Strickland officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
