TALMO - Hazel McCrary Buckner, 93, passed away Thursday December 20, 2012.
She was born in Warner, Okla., the daughter of the late Walter and Mamie Woodall McCrary. Mrs. Buckner was an office manager of Mosler Safe Company for many years before retiring. She lived in Savannah for many years, where she was a member of Montgomery Presbyterian Church, serving as church elder/ deacon. She moved to Talmo to be closer to her family. She attended Pond Fork Baptist Church until her health declined and was unable to attend. Mrs. Buckner was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Reddick Buckner; two brothers, Teasie McCrary and Knotchie McCrary; and a sister, Anna Evans.
Survivors include sons, Tom (Lisa) Buckner, Talmo, and Louis Walter Buckner, Savannah; grandchildren, Rachael Buckner, Amanda Lundgren, Wesley Buckner, Mitchell Buckner, Brandon Lance, Erik Lance, and Amber Lynn; great-grandchildren, Bailey Lance, Brayden Lance, Trey Pace, Kirsten Lynn and Tyler Ferguson.
Funeral services will be held Friday December 21, at Evans Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Scott Lance officiating. Interment will be Saturday, December 22, at 12:00 at Hillcrest Abby East in Savannah. Those honored to be pallbearers are Brandon Lance, Erik Lance, Travis Lynn, Wesley Buckner, Mitchell Buckner, Keith Lance and Johnny Holland.
