Coyal Strickland (12-20-12)

HULL - Coyal Strickland, 94, died Thursday, December 20, 2012.

Mr. Strickland was the son of the late Clemon and Texie Mae Hill Strickland. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Baxter Strickland. Mr. Strickland was a farmer and was a machine operator with Oliver Rubber Company and was a United States Army Veteran of World War II. He was a member of Union Baptist Church.

Survivors include his children, James Strickland and Martha (Robert) Hilburn; sisters, Ann Jackson and Mary Williamson; grandchildren, Bonnie Slaney, Bert Strickland, and Danny Hilburn; and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 22, at 11 a.m. at Brown Chapel, Danielsville, with the Rev. Billy Owensby officiating. Burial will follow in the Union Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, December 21, from 6 to 8 p.m.
