ATHENS – Lois Jean Roberts Peppers, 79, passed away Monday, December 17, 2012.
She was the daughter of the late William Leonard and Grace Whitehead Roberts. She was an active and longtime member of Statham First Baptist Church. She enjoyed crafts, ceramics, traveling, and going to church. Mrs. Peppers was preceded in death by a daughter, Cheryl Marie Peppers.
Survivors include a son, Robbie K. Peppers, Virginia Beach, Va.; two sisters, Glenda Roberts (Don) Eades, Bogart, and Dale (Jim) Conglose, Athens; granddaughter, Tracy Marie Peppers, Port Charlotte, Fla.; grandsons, J.J. Hanson, Suffolk, Va., and Stephen Hanson, South Boston, Va.; four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; daughter-in-law, Midge Peppers, Port Charlotte, Fla.; and caregivers, Sandra Washington, Joy King, Betty Bowles, and Cathy Epps.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 19, at 2 p.m. with the Revs. Kenneth Bennett and Gordon Thornton officiating. Burial will be in Barrow Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, December 18, from 6 to 9 p.m.
