MORGANTON – Sonny Ivey, 72, died Thursday, December 13, 2012.
He was born in Bethlehem, the son of the late Clarence A. and Sibyl Manning Ivey. He was retired from Beers Construction Company. Mr. Ivey was preceded in death by brothers, Darrel and Lavaughn Ivey.
Survivors include his former spouse, Diane Bowmen Ivey, Bethlehem; daughter, Tracy Alane Ivey, Temple; son, Glenn Scott Ivey, Bethlehem; and a grandson, Tyler Scott Ivey, Winder.
Funeral services were held Saturday, December 15, from Smith Funeral Home with the Rev. Donnie Pennington officiating. Burial was in Barrow Memorial Gardens.
Smith Funeral Home, Winder, was in charge of arrangements.
