Clara McEver

Clara Mae McEver, 88, of Pendergrass, died Saturday, September 13, 2008, at a private nursing home, following an extended illness.

She was born on July 17, 1920, in Jackson County, the daughter of the late Claude and Ruth Williams McEver, and was a member of Walnut Fork Baptist Church.

Survivors include a sister and brother-in-law, Carmel and Cecil Blackstock, Talmo; aunt, Grace Williams, Clayton; and a host of cousins and friends.

Funeral services were held Monday, September 15, at Ward’s Chapel with the Rev. David Ash officiating. Burial was in Walnut Fork Baptist Church cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Walnut Fork Baptist Church, Eagle Ranch, or to one’s favorite charity.

Ward’s Funeral Home, Gainesville, was in charge of arrangements.
