Russell L. Hopper, 66, of Pendergrass, died Monday, September 22, 2008, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a sudden illness.
Originally from Asheville, N.C., he was the son of the late James Mylo and Norma S. Hopper and was a small business owner in Pendergrass. Mr. Hopper was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Hopper.
Survivors include his very much loved wife, Nancy Adams Hopper, Pendergrass; daughter, Donna Patterson, Loganville; sons and daughter-in-law, Michael Thomas and J.T. and Ellen Adams, all of Atlanta; grandchildren, Donald, Taylor, Christopher, John Henry and Waverly Grace; and one great-grandchild due in February; brother and sister-in-law, Melvin and Freddie Hopper, North Carolina; sister and brother-in-law, Thelma and Jim Jamison, South Carolina; and a host of other family and friends.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, September 25, at 11 a.m., at Memorial Park Funeral Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 9 to 11 a.m. prior to the graveside service.
Memorial Park Funeral Home, Gainesville, is in charge of arrangements.
