HOMER - Genelle Byrd Rylee, 89, died Thursday, December 6, 2012 at her residence.
She was born in Carnesville, the daughter of the late Garland and Alma Jones Byrd. She was a member of Webbs Creek Baptist Church and was a homemaker. Mrs. Rylee was preceded in death by her husband, John Otis Rylee, Sr.; and brother, Jones Byrd.
Survivors include a son, J.O. Rylee, Homer; daughters, Gloria Rylee and Phyllis Miranda, both of Homer; aunts, Mae Jones, Gastonia, N.C., and Gladys Pruitt, Homer; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, December 8, at Webbs Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Ray Richardson officiating. Interment will follow in Banks Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, December 7, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.
