COMMERCE - Ada Belle Crumley Hammond, 78, passed away on Sunday, December 2, 2012, at the Athens Regional Medical Center.
Born in Commerce, she was the daughter of the late Walker W. and Ida Lee Myra Brown Crumley. Mrs. Hammond was preceded in death by her husband, Joe E. Hammond, Sr.
Survivors include children, Susan Hammond Ray, Columbus, Caroline Hammond Sallette, Cartersvile, and Joe "Jody" Hammond, Hull; siblings, Deanie Sears, Commerce, Loretta Barnes, Maysville, Brenda Smith, Danielsville, and Wayne "Dickie" Crumley, Commerce; and four grandchildren.
Graveside services and interment are scheduled for Thursday, December 6, at 11 a.m. from the Comer Cemetery with the Rev. Donald Wilson officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 5, from 6 to 8 p.m.
