William Wesley Aaron, 79, of Jefferson, died Tuesday, September 22, 2008.
Born in Madison County, he was the son of the late James Wesley and Lizzie Craig Aaron. He was a retired maintenance worker with the University of Georgia, a member of the Lebanon United Methodist Church, and a United States Army veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Jeanette Nix Aaron, Jefferson; a son, Gene Aaron, Jefferson; daughter, Jerrie Courson, Statham; sister, Edna Meeler, Jefferson; and a granddaughter, Celena Chatham, Talmo.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 25, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of Evans Funeral Home with the Revs. Ronnie Healan and Dugar Strickland officiating. Burial will be in the Galilee Christian Church cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 24, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
