Chris McCurry (11-26-12)

BALDWIN – Chris McCurry, 40, passed away on Monday, November 26, 2012.

He was born on January 16, 1972, in Habersham County, the son of Michael D. and Wanda Tanksley McCurry of Clarkesville. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Charlie and Estelle Tanksley and Jack and Betty McCurry. Chris was a United States Marine Corps Veteran and a member of Leatherwood Baptist Church. He was the owner of McCurry Welding Company.

Survivors in addition to his parents include his loving wife, Tracy Franklin McCurry, Baldwin; daughter, Taylor McCurry, Baldwin; and a brother, Greg McCurry, Demorest.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, November 30, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, with the Revs. Lavay McCullough and Telford Tanksley officiating. Interment will follow in the Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, November 29, at the funeral home.
