HULL - Peggy Morrow Craig, 64, passed away on Friday, November 23, 2012.
Born in Clarke County, she was the daughter of the late John Thomas and Lizzie Mae Herring Morrow. Mrs. Craig was preceded in death by children, Stephen Eugene Craig and Natalie Dawn Craig; and brothers, Albert "Bo" and J.C. "Bud" Morrow. She was a retired assistant statistician with the USDA and had also been a bookkeeper at the Athens Country Club and the Navy School Commissary. Mrs. Craig was an active member of the Beech Haven Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry Thomas Craig, Hull; children, Cassandra Craig Sams, Sanford, Fla., and Jerry Thomas Craig Jr. and wife Jennifer, Bishop; brothers, Tommy Morrow and wife Martha, Athens, and Billy Morrow and wife Carolyn, Danielsville; sisters, Vinnie Stowe, Toccoa, and Patsy Vanderkooi and husband Dwayne, Watkinsville; grandchildren, Jerry Thomas Craig III and Elizabeth Grace Craig.
Funeral services were held Monday, November 26, at the Beech Haven Baptist Church with the Revs. A.B. Sailors and John Walker officiating. Interment was in the Evergreen Memorial Park. Pallbearers were Chad Morrow, Wayne Craig, Jr., Ricky Stowe, Mitchell Craig, Steven Morris and Danny Vanderkooi.
