COMMERCE - Betty J. Cain Denton, 56, passed away on Thursday, November 22, 2012, at the St. Mary's Hospital in Athens.
Born in Banks County, she was the daughter of Johnnie Sue Patrick Hill of Commerce and the late Waymon Cain.
Survivors in addition to her mother include her husband, Mitchell Denton, Commerce; children, Christopher (Casandra) Denton and Latasha (Jonathan) Bishop, all of Commerce; a brother, Ricky Cain, Commerce; sisters, Kathy Sosebee, Pam Weldon and Linda Kitchens, all of Commerce, and Carolyn Wolfe, Cherokee, N.C.; six grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, November 25, at 3 p.m. from the Hudson River Baptist Church with the Rev. Troy Herbert officiating. Interment will follow in Jackson Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, November 24, from 3 to 8 p.m.
Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.
