‘Tony’ Spears (11-19-12)

MAYSVILLE - Thomas Anthony "Tony" Spears, 55, passed away Monday, November 19, 2012.

He was born in Gadsden, Ala., the son of Ralph Thomas Spears and Mildred DeLois Smith Spears of Maysville. He was a welder. Mr. Spears was preceded in death by a brother, Ted Andrew Spears; and grandson, Nicholas Anthony Spears.

Survivors in addition to his parents include wife, Linda Spears, Maysville; children, Angela Jarrard, Jefferson, Anthony John Thomas Spears, Maysville, Jonathon Ian Thomas, Watkinsville, and Michael Phillips, Jefferson; sisters, Sherry Conwell, Commerce, Shelley Bunn, Lula, and Becky Spears, Homer; 11 grandchildren; and many adopted children and grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 24, at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Evans Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 24, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home, prior to the service.
