Sonni Merle Auguletto (11-17-12)

STOCKBRIDGE - Sonni Merle Auguletto, 81, passed away on Saturday, November 17, 2012.

He was born in Hannibal, Mo., the son of the late Elmo Merle and Alice Marie Caldwell Auguletto. He was a veteran serving for 20 years in the United States Army Air Force exchange in Fort Gilliam, and a 20-year veteran of the United States Navy, serving in the Korean War and the Vietnam War. Mr. Auguletto was preceded in death by stepsons, Jack Douglas Shumake and Donnie Steve Shumake.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Alice Taylor Auguletto, Stockbridge; sons and daughter, Dennis Merle Auguletto, California, Mark Stephen Auguletto, Florida, and LaDonne Rae Auguletto, Arizona; adopted grandchildren, Justin Lee Shumake and Annie Marie Shumake Oglesby; stepsons, Michael Charles Shumake, Stockbridge, and Tony Lee Shumake, California; a sister, Cleo "Babe" Lockard, Illinois; 31 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, November 24, at 2 p.m. at the graveside with the Rev. Tommy Seay officiating. The burial and service will be in the Woodbine Cemetery in Jefferson. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 24, from 12 noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home, prior to the service.
