Sgt. Henry Earl Howard (11-9-12)

COMER – Sgt. Henry Earl Howard, 22, died Friday, November 9, 2012.

Born in Royston, he was the son of John Benson and Tracey Jones Howard of Comer. He was actively serving in the United States Army Reserve. He was employed at Walmart and Cross Restoration and was attending Athens Technical College.

Survivors in addition to his parents include his sister, Gracie Floretta Howard, Comer; maternal grandmother, Gracie Jones, Danielsville; aunts and uncles, Pam Barretine, Crawford, Cecil Mauldin, Crawford, Lynda Maddox, Danielsville, Donald Jones, Banks Crossing, Wanda Chambers, Comer and Rose Jones, Hull; girlfriend, Laura Anfinson; and a number of cousins and other family.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 14, at 11 a.m. at Lord & Stephens Danielsville Chapel. Burial will follow at Winterville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, November 12 and 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, November 13.
