Dorothy Mae Stembridge, 77, of Commerce, died Sunday, September 21, 2008, at her residence.
Born in Sheridan County, Kan., she was the daughter of the late Claude and Veva Horner Adams.
Survivors include her husband, Melvin Rudolph Stembridge Sr.; daughters, Suzette Keller and Patricia Tremblay, both of Florida, April Talbot, Commerce, Miriam Williamson, North Carolina; sons, Rudy Stembridge Jr., Rossville, and Jimmy Stembridge, Illinois; sister, Rose Martin, Missouri; brothers, Herb Adams, California, and Lyman Adams, Kansas; 20 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 24, at the Pilgrim Home Baptist Church in Newton, Ala., with Chaplain David Gilliland officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.
