COMMERCE - Willie Winfred Wilson, 82, died Friday, November 9, 2012 at St. Mary’s Hospice House.
He was born in Commerce, the son of the late Clifford “Tip” and Grace Bernice Woodall Wilson. Mr. Wilson was retired from Lockheed, was a member of Madison Street Baptist Church, I.E.M, and was a United States Army Veteran having served in the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Odessa Tolbert Wilson, Commerce; sons, Dwaine Wilson, Commerce and Darren Wilson, Cleveland; brother, Leon Wilson, Commerce; sisters, Vivian Poe and Geraldine Bruce, both of Commerce; four grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 12 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with the Revs. Jim Waller and Donald Wilson officiating. The interment will follow in Jackson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday two hours prior to the funeral service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Mary’s Hospice House, 1660 Jennings Mill Rd., Bogart, GA 30622.
Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.
