CARLTON - Thomas Lee Powell, 78, went home to be with the Lord and his late wife Delores Powell on Friday, October 19, 2012.
Born on December 17, 1933, in Lyons, Ga., he was the son of the late T.L. and Annie Hall Powell, and was also preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
Thomas worked in the aerospace industry from 1955 until he retired in 1997 from Lockheed at the Kennedy Space Center. He also served his country in the United States Air Force.
Survivors include children, Randy Powell, Darlene Farrell, Stephen T. Powell, Sandra Kois, and Kimberly Taylor; a sister: Dean Hunter; eight grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 12, at 2 p.m. at Lord and Stephens East Chapel. Burial will be held in Titusville, Fla. at a later date. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, November 11, at the funeral home.
