David Lysle Parker, 57, of Danielsville, died Monday, September 22, 2008, at the Athens Regional Medical Center in Athens.
He was born in Edmeston, N.Y., on July 15, 1951, the son of Lysle Parker of Sherburne, N.Y., and the late Priscilla West Frair. He was a self-employed maintenance man, and was a member of the Restoration World Outreach in Lavonia. He was co-director of the Southern Stompers Dance Team.
Survivors in addition to his father, include his wife, Amy Cary Parker, Danielsville; a son, Matthew Parker, Danielsville; and a daughter, Kaylee Parker, Danielsville.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 25, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of Pruitt Funeral Home with Apostle Grant Myerholtz officiating. Burial will be in Meadow Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, September 24, from 7 to 9 p.m.
Pruitt Funeral Home, Royston, is in charge of arrangements.

David Parker was a kind, caring and generous man. He will be greatly missed. But the kids in heaven are having a grand time!!
