Karen L. Walimaa, 56, of Hoschton, died Friday, September 19, 2008, following a brief illness.
She was born in Bay City, Mich., the daughter of Joseph P. Vajda of Standish, Mich. She lived in metro Atlanta for the past 23 years and was known for the love and care she gave to her family and friends.
Survivors in addition to his father, include her husband, James T. Walimaa, Hoschton; sons and daughters-in-law, Michael S. and Brenda Kipfmiller, Lula, Jason T. and Lynsey Walimaa, Lawrenceville; grandchildren, Jessica L. Kipfmiller, Charles S. Kipfmiller and Jaden T. Walimaa; sisters, Beth A. Smith, Citra, Fla., Debbie A. Vajda, Linwood, Mich., Barbara Kerridge and Rose Entriken, both of Boyne City, Mich.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 23, at 4 p.m., at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Beau Farr officiating. Burial will be in Hamilton Mill Memorial Gardens in Buford. The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 23, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel, Buford, is in charge of arrangements.
