STATHAM – William Ashby Frady, 72, died Saturday, October 27, 2012.
Born in Black Mountain, N.C., he was the son of the late William Howard “Doc” Frady Jr. and Dorothy Creasman Frady. He was a retired mail carrier for the US Postal Service.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Frady, Statham; a son, Marty (Peggy) Frady, Statham; daughters, Peggy (Duane) McCurdy, Terre Haute, Ind., Kendra (Dana) Hazelwood, Indianapolis, Ind.; grandchildren, Bill Kristen and Cheyenne Frady; brothers, Wesley (Estalena) Frady, Indianapolis, Ind., and Dave (Glenda) Frady, Greenfield, Ind.; and a sister, Ruth (Daniel) Hampton, Decatur, Ill.
Memorial services will be held Tuesday, October 30, at 4 p.m., from Smith Memory Chapel with the Rev. Daniel W. Hampton officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family has requested in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions be made to Mrs. Helen Frady, 413 Akins Rd., Statham, GA 30666.
Smith Funeral Home, Winder, is in charge of arrangements.
