Cleo Murrell (10-26-12)

COVINGTON – Cleo Murrell, 83, died Friday, October 26, 2012.

The son of the late Fred and Nellie Passmore Murrell, he was a self-employed logger. Mr. Murrell was preceded in death by his wife, Colonann Hensley.

Survivors include sons, Kenny Ray Murrell, Winder, and Michael Murrell, Mooresville, N.C.; daughters, Elaine Reynolds, Colbert, and Kathy Walls, Bethlehem; a sister, Lois Fuller, Monroe; two sisters-in-law, Grace Murrell and Edna Murrell; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home Monday, October 29, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Roy Turk officiating. Interment will follow at the Mountain Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Smith Funeral Home, Winder, is in charge of arrangements.
