MADISON COUNTY - Wilson Henry Wright, 88, died Wednesday, October 24, 2012, at 4:41 a.m. of natural causes at his residence.
He was born in Rockport, N.Y., the son of the late Orville and Doris Wright.
Mr. Wright was preceded in death by brothers, Dick and Orville; a sister, Ruth Prest; son Douglas; and daughter, Lorraine Steve.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred Wright; her son, Dale, and his wife, Catlyn Vickers, all in Madison County; a sister, Thelma Ellis; son, David and his wife Ann Wright; and grandchildren all reside in New York.
Respecting Wilson's wishes, his body was donated to the Medical College of Georgia.
A "Celebration of Life" memorial will be held Saturday, October 27, at 2 p.m. in his honor, at the family residence.
The family would like to thank Tugaloo Home Health Agency, Danielsville, Odyssey Hospice, Athens, Medical College of Georgia, and Bernstein Funeral Home for their help, guidance, reassurance, and understanding during Wilson's life and death.
