DANIELSVILLE - James William Thomas, 68, of Highway 29, Danielsville, passed away Wednesday, October 24, 2012, at the St. Mary's Hospice House in Bogart.
He was born in Franklin County, on April 18, 1944, the son of the late Grady Claxton and Mary Louise Barnes Thomas. He was a machinist having worked for Franklin Industries, and a member of the New Hope Baptist Church in Royston. Mr. Thomas was preceded in death by a brother, Grady Thomas; and sisters, Virginia Chastain and Carolyn Massey.
Survivors include his wife, Annie Freeman Thomas, Danielsville; children and spouses, June and Terry Robertson, Royston, and Todd and Donna Thomas, Lavonia; grandchildren, Zackery Robertson and Kaitlin Robertson; brothers and sisters-in-law, Mike and Teresa Thomas and Roger and Rebecca Thomas, all of Carnesville; and a sister, Linda Chatham, Grovetown.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, October 27, at the Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Brian David, Willard Crider, and Jerome Hill officiating. Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Royston. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, October 26. The family is at the home.
