Wes Whitlock (10-23-12)

JEFFERSON - Wes Whitlock, 76, passed away on Tuesday, October 23, 2012.

He was born in Jefferson, the son of the late Wesley and Edna Mote Whitlock. Mr. Whitlock was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jefferson, where he was a member of the Adult III Sunday School class. He was a State Licensed Electrician, and was a manager at Buhler Quality Yarns in Jefferson.

Survivors include his wife, Helen Whitlock, Jefferson; daughter, Tara (Bruce) Simonton, Jefferson; son, Jeff (Mary) Whitlock, Clarkesville; grandchildren, Katie, Betsy and Wesley Simonton, Jeffrey, Amanda and Hannah Whitlock; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 25, at 2 p.m. in the First Baptist Church of Jefferson with Michael Helms officiating. The visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 24, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to the Alzheimer's Association-Georgia Chapter, 41 Perimeter Center East, Suite 550, Atlanta, GA 30346, or the American Cancer Society, 1684 Barnett Shoals Rd., Athens, GA 30605.

Evans Funeral Home, Jefferson, is in charge of arrangements.

So Sorry about Wes i have worked with Wes for the past 11yrs at Buhler Yarn; I'm going to Miss one of realest Man i Know( My Kenny Rogers)

We are all sad at the loss of Wes, I will always have fond memories of him and his friendly personality. Ms.Helen,Jeff and Tara my prayers are with you and I considered it an honor to have had a friend like Wes.

The Jefferson High School Football program sends prayers and condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Wes Whitlock. He was a tremendous fan and supporter of Jefferson City Schools and he will be missed.
