COMMERCE - Aaron Leon Appling, 89, died Monday, October 22, 2012 at his residence.
He was born in Alpharetta, the son of the late Lonnie R. and Bertie Lee Bruce Appling. He was retired from Appling Auto Parts and was a member of Grove Level Baptist Church. Mr. Appling was preceded in death by his wife, Inez Allen Appling; and a son, Michael Samuel Appling.
Survivors include a daughter, Cathi Arostegui, Commerce; sons, Rev. Jeff Appling, Homer, and Don Appling, Buford; sister, Doris Davis, Winder; 15 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 24 at 2 p.m. from Grove Level Baptist Church with the Revs. Jeff Appling and Jeff Hill officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 12 to 2 p.m.
