MAYSVILLE - Mary Belle Gabriel Williams, 88, formerly of Toccoa, died Saturday, October 20, 2012.
Born August 23, 1924, in Oglethorpe County, she was the daughter of the late Raleigh W. and Nellie Tucker Gabriel. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, G.W. Williams; one sister, Pauline Johnson; and four brothers, Albert, Parks, Crawford and Talmadge Gabriel. Mrs. Williams was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Nancy Williams, Maysville; grandchildren, Tony and Sandra Williams, Jonathan Williams, and Jeremy and Baxley Williams; sister and brother-in-law, Frances and Alfred Roberts; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ed and Bonnie Gabriel, Duane and Barbara Gabriel, and Loring and Elizabeth Gabriel; great-grandchildren, David Tyler, Jacob, Emma, Jessica, and Hannah Williams; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 23, from the chapel of Whitlock Mortuary with the Rev. Jerry Stowe officiating. Burial will follow at Stephens Memorial Gardens. The following gentleman will serve as pallbearers, James Gabriel, Travis Gabriel, Ken Gabriel, George Gabriel, Doug Gabriel and Danny Gabriel. The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, October 22.
