Ferd Martin, 84, of Duluth, died Friday, September 19, 2008, at Gwinnett Medical Center, following a brief illness.
Born in Franklin County on June 23, 1924, he was the son of the late Tom and Ethel Martin.
He was the brother of Gatha Barrett, Homer; brother-in-law of Syble Martin and Melva Martin, both of Homer, Virginia Martin of Alto, and Buford Caudell of Homer.
Funeral services were held Sunday, September 21, 2008, at Homer Baptist Church.
McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home, Cornelia, was in charge of arrangements.
