James Noell (10-21-12)

NICHOLSON - James Arthur Noell, 61, died Sunday, October 21, 2012.

A lifelong resident of this area, he was employed with E.R. Snell Paving Company for many years. He was the son of the late Theodore and Flotilla Melton Noell. Mr. Noell was preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley Noell; three sons, Michael Noell, Ronnie Noell and Donnie Noell; brother, Howard Noell; and two sisters, Brenda Sweatman and Frances King.

Survivors include his wife, Roberta Noell; a son, James Arthur (Tonya) Noell, Jr., Watkinsville; stepson, Jeremy Porter, Nicholson; siblings, Donald Noell, Bobby (Marie) Noell, Delores Cruz, Carolyn Brooks, and Patsy Dawson; grandchildren, Trey Noell, Emily Noell, Blake Noell, Bailey Noell, Haley Roberts, Austin Roberts; step-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Porter, Amy Porter and Emily Porter; two great-grandchildren, Jackson Noell and Makenzie Stevens; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 23, at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, EAST. Interment will be in Clark Cemetery in Lexington. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, October 23, from 10 a.m. until service time.
