AUBURN - Lillian Sykes, 70, died Monday, October 15, 2012.
A Barrow County native, she was the daughter of the late “Boozer” and Jewell Holloway House. Mrs. Sykes retired from The Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms division of the United States Government. She was a member of the Nazareth United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Douglas Sykes, Auburn; a daughter, Jessica Jillian Ogburn, Auburn; two grandsons, Cameron Ogburn and Ryker Ogburn; and cousin, Glenda Bannister, Monroe.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 19, at 2 p.m., from the chapel of Carter Funeral Home with the Rev. Hugh Shirley officiating. Burial will be in the Nazareth United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, October 18, from 5 to 8 p.m.
