HOSCHTON - Joshua Franklin Pirkle, Sr., 86, passed away Friday, October 12, 2012.

He was a member of the Hoschton United Methodist Church. He was United States Army Veteran, loved Georgia Tech football, and the farm life.

Survivors include his wife, Nellie Stone Pirkle; sons Joshua Franklin Pirkle, Jr. and wife Ruth, Hoschton, and Steve Pirkle and wife Brenda, Arenzville, Ill.; and grandchildren, Jesseca Pirkle and Morgan Pirkle.

Funeral services were held Monday, October 15, at the Hoschton United Methodist Church. Pastor Luis Ortiz officiated. Interment was at the Pirkle Family Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Hoschton United Methodist Church in memory of Joshua F. Pirkle, Sr.
