Virginia “Beth” Brasfield, 85, of Winder, died Wednesday, May 7, 2008.
She was born in Benton County, Miss., she was the daughter of the late Earl and Cliffie Reid Cox. She was a charter member of Morningside Baptist Church. In 1961 they moved to Winder to run the Western Auto. She was a certified nurse assistant at Russell Nursing Home. Mrs. Brasfield was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Brasfield.
Survivors include sons, Grady Brasfield, Atlanta, and Ronnie Brasfield, Dacula; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 10, at 2 p.m., at Smith Memory Chapel with the Rev. Rex Long officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday, May 10, from 12 to 2 p.m. before the service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Morningside Baptist Church Building Fund, 580 Miles Patrick Rd., Winder, Ga. 30680.
