TALMO - Viola Smith Wright, 90, passed away on Sunday, October 14, 2012.
She was born in Hall County, the daughter of the late Sherman and Izzy Perry Smith. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist denomination. Mrs. Wright was preceded in death by a daughter, Martha Gaddis; sisters, Ida Lou Smith, Flora Underwood, and Leona Conner; and brother, Homer Smith.
Survivors include daughters, Betty Potts, Oakwood, Barbara Lee, Jefferson, Alice Alexander, Jefferson, and Debra (Mel) Patton, Talmo; sons, Bobby (Deborah) Carter, Commerce, Donald (Carolyn) Jones, and Larry Jones, both of Jefferson; 22 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 16, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Evans Funeral Home with the Revs. Joe Hardy and Mark Spence officiating. The burial will follow in the Jackson Memorial Park with Caine Tate, Shay Patton, Josh Patton, Hopper Alexander, Chris Jones and Mark Jones honored as pallbearers. The visitation will be held on Monday, October 15, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
