Fairy Smith

Fairy Walker Smith, 88, of Hoschton, died Tuesday, September 16, 2008, at her residence.

She was a native of Dahlonega, a former resident of Atlanta, and had lived in Hoschton for the past 12 years. She was employed with Burger King for many years and attended the Hamilton Mill United Methodist Church. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Brilla Forester Walker and was also preceded in death by her husband, Willie C. Smith; sister, Minnie Odom; and brothers, Clarence Walker, Woodrow Walker and John Walker.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Kathy Smith, Hoschton; grandchildren and spouses, Brandon and Heather Smith, Ashleigh and Brian Britt, Jordan Smith and Abby Smith; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services were held Thursday, September 18, in the chapel of Banister Funeral Home with Dr. David L. Davis officiating. Burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Dahlonega.

Banister Funeral Home, Dahlonega, was in charge of arrangements.
