‘Frank’ Hise (10-8-12)

LAFAYETTE - Leon Franklin "Frank" Hise, 86, died Monday, October 8, 2012, at his home.

He was born in Chickamauga, Ga. on December 1, 1925, the son of the late Joseph H. H. "Joe" and Aggie Belle Mullinax Hise. He was preceded in death by sisters, Robbie Wylene Hise, Ruby Nell Hollis, and Sara Jo "Sadie" Day.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Mary Lee Martin Hise; daughters, Cindy (Sherman) Gibbs, LaFayette, and Sonja (Joe) Morgan and Sylvia (Jimmy) Bailey, both of Jefferson; grandchildren, Eric (Brandi) Gibbs and Rachael (Jim) Maples, LaFayette, Jim Bailey, Jefferson; one sister, Marlene (Jimmy) Webber, Plant City, Fla.; two great-grandchildren, Julian and Rebekah Murray; a step-great-granddaughter; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors.

Visitation will be at the funeral home Wednesday, October 10, from 5 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, October 11, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Second Baptist Church of LaFayette with the Rev. Mike Peterson officiating. Burial will follow in LaFayette City Cemetery.
