Chris Childers, 44, of Winder, died Saturday, September 20, 2008.
Born in Barrow County, he was the son of J.C. and Carolyn E. Childers of Winder. He was a 1982 Oconee High School graduate, a member of Briarwood Baptist Church, employed by M & P Grading, and was active in GA Jaycees and their Rebel Corp.
Survivors in addition to his parents, include a brother and sister-in-law, Mark & Melissa Childers, Winder; and sister, Lori Childers, Atlanta.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 23, at 4 p.m., at Smith Memory Chapel with the Rev. Danny Shoemake officiating. Burial was in Hebron Christian Church cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, September 22, from 6 to 9 p.m., at the funeral home.
