‘Jackie’ Whitfield (9-14-12)

COMMERCE - Grover Jackson "Jackie" Whitfield, 58, died Friday, September 14, 2012 at his residence.

He was born in Commerce, the son of Marian Dunson Whitfield of Commerce and the late Grover C. Whitfield Jr. He was a retired banker, member of Maysville Baptist Church, Commerce Kiwanis, Commerce DDA, BJC Medical Center Board Member, and a former member of Commerce Lions Club.

Survivors in addition to his mother, include his wife, Ann Adams Whitfield, Commerce; a daughter, Kelli Whitfield Hawks, Commerce; brother, Keith Whitfield, Commerce; and grandchildren, Jocelyn and Claire Hawks, Commerce.

Funeral services were held Sunday, September 16 from the Maysville Baptist Church with Brian Stowe and the Rev. David Sharpton officiating. Burial was at the Grey Hill Cemetery
