Hallie Roberts (9-12-12)

OAKWOOD - Hallie Marie Roberts, 67, passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2012, following an extended illness.

She was born January 16, 1945, the daughter of the late Martin Carey and Hallie Catherine Locke of Decatur. She was married to the late Wayne M. Roberts for 18 1/2 years. She was a graduate of Athens Technical School and DeKalb Junior College, and worked as the Regional Personnel Director for North Georgia Department of Corrections. Mrs. Roberts was a member of Cornerstone Assembly of God, where she was active in the Senior Adult Sunday School Class and Ladies Ministry.

Survivors include daughters, Lisa Thompson, Buckhead, and Cindy Shepherd, Flowery Branch; stepson, David Roberts, Aiken, S.C.; stepdaughter and husband, Julie and Peter Ebenhack, Westminster, S.C.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Kaky and Jim Wilkie, Jacksonville, Fla., and Bobbie and Hoyt Blalock, Monroe; grandchildren, Brett Shepherd, Sarah Ebenhack and Elias Ebenhack; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Friday, September 14, at Cornerstone Assembly of God. Pastors Steve Stewart and Jeff Lovell will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., Thursday, September 13, at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.
