Beulah Hammond (9-10-12)

COLBERT – Beulah Hammond, 78, died Monday, September 10, 2012.

A native of Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Andrew and Julia Mae Jackson Thomas. She was a member of Hull Baptist Church. Mrs. Hammond was preceded in death by husbands, Donald McCarty and Elmer Hammond; son, Marvin McCarty; and several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Clark and Judy McCarty, Colbert; brother, Joseph Allen Thomas, Colbert; sister, Eloise Randall, Citrus Springs, Fla.; grandchildren, Malcolm McCarty, Mitchell McCarty, and Julie Fielding, all of Colbert; and great-grandchildren, Brianna McCarty, Zachary Fielding, and Madison Fielding, all of Colbert.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 13, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of Bridges Funeral Home with the Revs. Randy Crowe and Ray Jenkins officiating. Burial will be in the Colbert Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, September 12, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Bridges Funeral Home, Athens, is in charge of arrangements.
