Lammie Shelnutt Minish, 69, of Commerce, died Wednesday, September 17, 2008, at Athens Regional Medical Center.
Born in Madison County, he was the son of the late Farris S. Minish and Edna Cecile Simmons Minish.
Survivors include granddaughters, Sonya Martin and Christine Allen; brother and sisters-in-law, Johnny and Brenda Minish; and sisters and brothers-in-law, Nelda and Crawford Whitsel, Jean and Howard Harris, Madge and Jimmy Stewart, Glenda and Dennis Hogan, Nita and John Bellamy, Susan and Keith Steed.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, September 20, at 3 p.m., in the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home with the Rev. Carl Beckham officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, September 20, from 1:30 p.m. until the time of service. A private burial will be conducted at a later date.
Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.
