Jamey Smith (9-5-12)

COMMERCE - Jamey Kevin Smith, 40, died Wednesday, September 5, 2012, at Athens Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Commerce, the son of the late Harvey and Vernice Smith. He was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church. Mr. Smith was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Dorsey.

Survivors include his wife, Dawn Loggins Smith, Commerce; brothers, Doug Smith, Commerce, Dennis Smith, Lula, Danny Smith, Rome, and Frankie Smith, Athens; and sisters, Brenda Thigpen, Elberton, Judy Smith, Maysville, Shirley Brownlee and Tammy Gee, both of Commerce.

Funeral services were held Sunday, September 9, at Solid Rock Baptist Church with the Rev. Swayne Carlan officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery.

Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, was in charge of arrangements.
