Imogene S. Kilpatrick, 73, of Winder, died Wednesday, September 17, 2008.
Born in Walton, she was the daughter of the late Harold W. and Evelyn Brown Smith. She was a member of the Winder First United Methodist Church, Jug Taverns Quilting Club, W.Y. Smith Sunday School Class, Weslyan Circle Group, and Retired Teachers Association. She taught elementary school for the City of Atlanta, Davidson County, Tenn., and Barrow School Systems. Mrs. Kilpatrick enjoyed gardening, flowers, and quilting, loved ones added.
Survivors include her husband, Charlie Kilpatrick, Winder; sons and daughters-in-law, Wesley and Harriet Jett Kilpatrick, Barry Kilpatrick, all of Winder, Eric and Lisa Kilpatrick, Charleston, S.C.; grandchildren, Dean Kilpatrick, Leah Hannaford, Adam Kilpatrick, Brandon Kilpatrick, Brian Kilpatrick, Jett Bowen and Jory Bowen; and a sister, Winfrey Richardson, Winder.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 20, at 2 p.m., at Smith Memory Chapel with the Revs. Larry Rary and Terry Tippens officiating. Burial will be in the Barrow Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday, September 19, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
