‘Bart’ Gaither (8-14-12)

COMMERCE - John “Bart” Gaither, Jr., 79, passed away at the Northridge Medical Center on Tuesday, August 14, 2012.

Born in Banks County, he was the son of the late John Henry Gaither, Sr. and the Lillian Gillespie Gaither. He was also preceded in death by siblings, Willie Gaither, Charlie Gaither, Demorest Gaither, Jewel Gaither, Eurice Gaither, Lucy Gillespie, and Georgia Ruth Morris.

Survivors include his wife, Hazel Burns Gaither, of Commerce; a son, Terrell Beasley, Danielsville; daughter, Ann Beasley, Commerce; stepdaughter, Julie Ann Ensong, Gainesville; sisters, Dorine Faulkner, Homer, and Lillie Wilhite, Commerce; three grandchildren; and a close friend, Charlie Joe Gillespie.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, August 18, at 1 p.m., from Neals Grove with the Rev. Johnny Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, August 17, from 7 to 8 p.m.
